The Hive Gaming League: Gears of War 3: 2v2 Tournament Recap (Picture Heavy)

We had an incredible turn out! Six teams of two signed up and competed in last Saturday's GOW3: 2v2 tournament. I want to thank everyone that participated, and I must say that each and every one of you are very talented. We also had several people spectating, and that made it even more legit than it already was! I'd also like to thank Mike and The Gamerz Funk crew for helping us throw the tournament, and for providing their incredible gaming space for the event. And a special thanks to Robby for coming to represent Gaming Cuisine and run the entire bracket for the tournament, and for Rusty for providing the second place prizes for the competition from GameStop in Jordan Landing. Couldn't have done it as smoothly with out any of you!

There were several close matches on Saturday, but the last couple of games were super intense. Each round was extremely close, and every one played with precision. In the final round we had team "Off In The Woods" vs. team "M&T". After the dust settled, Off In The Woods took the tournament and won the pot of money from everyone's entrance fee's but the second place team's. Second place received their entrance money back, along with a ten dollar gift card for each of them to spend wisely at the Jordan Landing GameStop. Over all it was an incredible tournament, and one for the books. We have several tournaments in the works, and our next one will be a League Of Legends Tournament which will be held around the second weekend of October. Details will surface on the Cook Off's page this Friday, so check back frequently!!!
